If you are unsure, you come for an Initial consultation or have one online. We find out why you are considering an autism assessment and we explain what the process involves. The clinician will explains what’s involved in the process. Then together decide if it’s appropriate to take the next step to a full Autism Assessment. The same clinician will be involved in the further assessment.

This will involve a Speech & Language Therapist and a Psychologist. We will complete an interview with you and a person that knows you well in your life and younger life (if possible), gather information from your education setting (if you are still there), review any previous reports and information from previous therapists. If a cognitive assessment is necessary, let us know and we will schedule this on another day with the same psychologist.

Both clinicians will complete a report with all the information gathered from you, people in your life and from our clinical observations. If letters are required for your education or workplace setting to better understand you, we can provide you with this. A feedback session will be completed to go through the report and answer questions.
